Applications
Applications for micro abrasive waterjet technology
Micro abrasive waterjet brings cold, fine and highly versatile cutting into medical devices, fine mechanics, advanced materials and production environments.

Medical components without a thermal penalty
Nitinol clips and stents benefit from a process that preserves material properties. One vascular clip example uses 0.9 mm Nitinol, 100 µm spring features and ±10 µm tolerances, cut in 1 minute 31 seconds with a 200 µm jet.
Ceramics and functional materials
PZT and other brittle sintered materials can be cut into complex geometries without thermal spallation. Electrically isolated layers can remain intact because the process does not smear or melt the cut surface.
From prototype to series production
Three-, four- and five-axis configurations, probing, video measurement and automated garnet handling make the technology suitable for one-off development as well as repeatable series production.
